Part of the upcoming action and suspense movie “The Truth” was filmed in Santo Domingo last Monday. Some of the actors and actresses you might have seen in town were Eva Longoria, Forest Whitaker, Andy Garcia, Kim Coates, Deborah Kara Unger, Bostick Devon, Steven Bauer and Kevin Durand.

The Actors

• Cuban born Andy Garcia is best known for his roles in The Godfather part III, The Untouchables, Ocean’s Twelve and City Island.
• Eva Longoria is best known for her role as Gabrielle Solis in Desperate Housewives but is also known for her role in “The Young and the Restless” a US soap opera. Other Films include “Harsh Times”, “The Sentinel”, and “over Her Dead Body”.
• Forest Whitaker is known for his roles in “Platoon”, “The Last King of Scotland”, “Ghost Dog”, and “the Crying Game”.
• Kim Coates is a Broadway actor that is more recently starring in “Sons of Anarchy”.
• Deborah Kara Unger is known for her roles in “Crash”, “The Game”, “Hurricane”, “Silent Hill” and “Payback”.
• Canadian born Devon Bostick is known for his roles in “diary of a Wimpy Kid” and it’s sequel “Rodrick Rules” as well as “Adoration” and Survival of the Dead”.
• Cuban born actor Steven Bauer is known for his parts in ‘Scareface”, Primal Fear”, “Raising Cain” and “sword of Gideon”.
• Kevin Durand is best known for his roles in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”, “I am Number Four”, “Robin Hood”, “Legion”, “Lost” , “Dark Angel”, and “Real Steel”.
