Orange Dominicana has announced that is has launched the first 4G LTE network in the Dominican Republic.

Twelve years after having provided the DR with the first GSM network, Orange today announced the arrival of the first 4G LTE network in the Dominican Republic. “We are especially proud to announce that our country becomes one of the first in Latin America and the entire France Telecom Group to have deployed the 4G LTE. We will be sharing all the details at a press conference on Monday, July 9, “said Mr. Valcárcel.

“Soon to be available in Santo Domingo, the 4G LTE is the latest generation of mobile technology, superior to all mobile networks currently on the market, and can navigate the Internet with speeds up to 100 Mbps. We have invested over U.S. $ 150M to double our network and provide the best and latest in mobile technology to all Dominicans” said Mr. Poulain.


Both executives emphasized that the Internet’s future is in the country, and the customer experience will be unique due to unprecedented speeds and features.

Interested customers can now book today the internet service, LTE 4G Orange, exclusively on the www.orange.com.do web page, or visit one of the selected Orange Offices, to start receiving 4G LTE after July 9th of this year.
